Why is Masjid Quba so rewarding to visit?
The Prophet ﷺ said: whoever purifies themselves at home, then comes to Masjid Quba and prays two rak'ah, will have the reward of an Umrah. It is the very first mosque built in Islam.
Significance & history
The Prophet ﷺ founded Masjid Quba upon his arrival in Madinah during the Hijrah, before continuing to the city centre. He would visit it regularly, sometimes walking, sometimes riding. Quba's status as the first mosque and the site referenced in Qur'an 9:108 makes it a beloved stop for pilgrims.

Role in the ritual
Not part of Hajj or Umrah. Recommended Sunnah: perform full wudu at your hotel, travel to Quba, and pray two rak'ah nafl inside the mosque for the Umrah-equivalent reward.
