Pakistani Passport for Umrah
Your passport is the foundation of every Umrah journey. Application, fees, and timelines - all here.
How do I get a Pakistani passport for Umrah?
Book a token on the DGI&P website or visit a Passport Office, then present your CNIC, photos, and paid fee challan for biometrics. Choose an e-passport (5 or 10 years) and pay the normal or urgent fee. Ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months from your travel date.
- 1
Book a token on the DGI&P portal
Go to dgip.gov.pk or use the Pak-ID app. Booking an online token reduces waiting time at the office.
- 2
Prepare your documents
Original CNIC (plus copy), passport-size photos on a white background, copy of parents'/spouse's CNIC where required, and the paid fee challan.
- 3
Pay the fee challan
Pay at any designated bank branch (e.g. Habib Bank). Fees differ by category - normal or urgent - and by 5-year vs 10-year e-passport.
- 4
Biometrics at the Passport Office
Attend at your scheduled time. Photo, fingerprints, and signature are captured. Confirm your choice between e-passport and MRP here.
- 5
Track your application
Track status on dgip.gov.pk using your tracking number. Delivery is available via courier or in-person pickup.

Common mistakes & troubleshooting

- !Applying only a few weeks before travel - normal-category delays are common.
- !Photos not on a plain white background or wrong size - they will be rejected.
- !Forgetting the paid challan slip - it's required before biometrics.
